Thank you for telling Edie’s story so eloquently. Hers is a wonderful statement about the power of community. We have a young man in our congregation whose syndrome keeps him about 3 years old. He is a loving part of our community. He especially loves music, and will sit with our music director, often helping conduct. He also loves to greet people. He really wants to hug, but his family has helped him understand that not everyone enjoys hugs, so he now vigorously grasps our hands. He is wonderful.
