Usually, I dread having the kids at home for a week. But now that they’re older, I find I’m enjoying it more and more. When they’re not fighting or whining, they’re a joy. They like going out to bars and some restaurants now. They like going for walks and bike rides. They like hanging around the house. In other words, they’ve started to enjoy doing some of the stuff I enjoy.
I’ve cleared my calendar, for the most part, of work next week, and I’m so looking forward to hanging with the kids. Of course, I’ve also made myself a to-do-around-the-house list, which may or may not get taken care of.
Then we’ll go off to Asheboro (the rocking NC Zoo) and Chapel Hill (the Tarheel sports museum) for a couple days for vacay. Well, Enviro-spouse will be teaching, but the kids and I will be playing.
Anyone else have spring break plans?

We’re hanging round here for the break too. No big plans but we will no doubt be practicing baseball, riding bikes, etc - and oh yeah, watching hoops on tv. Bars? your kids like to go to bars? Let’s have a play date this week with our kids, k?
I was gonna go chase some Easter Eggs, but it sounded like work so I let it go. Maybe the Eggs can find some Peeps to play with.
Not sure why we did it, but we traveled to northern New York where there is still several feet of snow on the ground. We plan to stay indoors as much as possible.
Break this week, and thankfully - my workplace is on break as well so I can set my schedule more easily. Sonny Boy and Hubby have vacated the house to camp out in WV and ski/snowboard for a couple days. Princess and I are hanging out; switching childcare with couple other moms; just relaxing. Nice.
Just you wait until they 16 going on 17 without the sacred drivers license. Have a great weekend.
