Our new baby

He who has yet to be named is a Dorkie Poo (daschund/yorkie poo blend). He’s absolutely adorable. Vital stats: born March 11, moved to the pnav May 5, very unhappy with the night-time crating, very happy with the non-stop kid love, doing a great job of peeing outside, rightly scared of Rocky, the sumo-cat, cutest puppy ever!

Adorable! Free advice from someone who’s just graduated from raising a puppy: put away glasses(reading and sun) watches, shoes, remote controls, cell phones, legos and any other crunchy toys. My sweet puppy chewed through all of these in a just a couple of months. I think Tanner is a good name for the pup, but perhaps your girl will name it after a literary character.

What a handsome fellow. Must be named Maxwell. Max for short.

    What big feet.

Ooh . . . I’m in love! Such a cute little face. We would probably just call him Dork, but we’re weird like that. :)

congrats! maybe for a name, you could got with something ethnic. as a weiner dog, there’s some German in him, right? how about “Franz” or “Gerhardt” - “Gerry” for short.

as a Yorkie, he’s got a bit of a proper Englishman in him, right? How about “Earl”? that works for both a royal title and the redneck set. yes. Earl.

    Ohhh, so many cute names.

I kind of like Earl. And Max.

The neighbors are calling him Dorkie.

My girl wants to name him Grady, after Grady Sizemore, her fave baseball player.

I’ve been calling him Murphy or Sam–both seem to fit.

The boy wants to call him Ninja.

    E-spouse hasn’t chimed in. Yet.

Congrats on the new addition. And for the record, I think Earl and Grady are both great names.
