Here’s the scare article I wrote recently about radon gas. The story was my first published story on the front-front page of a newspaper since college. Woo-hoo!
Actually, radon IS scary. The story I wrote is three times as long as what was published, with lots more stats. This article was linked, interestingly, by a Yahoo discussion group called Know Nukes.
If you have any questions about radon, ask away. I’m feeling like quite the expert now.

Front page news! You go!
Will radon give me super powers? If so, where can I get some?
Okay…let’s see…ummm…wait…no…wait…
Sorry…I’ve got nothing.
Congratulations though!
Steve~
Interesting article. I am 31 and I don’t think I have ever heard of Radon. When I think of it, I wonder if it will mutate me and turn me into the Incredible Hulk? I’d like to be a blue version of that same beast. Green isn’t really one of my favorite colors to wear.
There’s some in my basement, SC. Yeah, lots of folks have never heard of it, but it’s the second biggest cause of lung cancer after smoking!
yikes!
S.C. got my comment- I was going to ask how it stacks up to Kryptonite but, ah, well. Besides that, your article is clear, a wealth of information and an incentive to be informed. I found all those W things in there, too- what, why, where, etc.
Aren’t you something? A really real reporter. Next thing, you’ll be editor.
Good job, AF.
Radon spelled backwards spells nodar. Yeah,,,, well I guess I don’t have anything either.
