We’re in Hot Lanta for a few days–for a few days of pre-Christmas cheer, chaos, and irritability with my family and extended clan. My plans include the following:
1. Taking all the lonely scraps of unloved wrapping paper and making a collage to hang on the front door of the pnav (posh North Asheville villa, otherwise known as Edgy Home).
2. Seeing how many arguments I can spark regarding the following subjects: religion, sex, child rearing, recovered memories, my blog.
3. Hiding in my room with my secret stash of chocolate (includes a Lake Champlain Dark Chocolate Fruit and Nut Candy bar, 1/2 of a Terra Nostra Organic Dark Truffle bar, and several Lake Champlain Raspberry Dk. Chocolate truffles–yum).
4. Visiting the new Atlanta aquarium and having a chat with the baby belugas.
5. Partying with the cousins–tonight, while wearing a short blue velvet cocktail dress, high heels, and lots of pearls.
Debriefs start tomorrow. What are your plans?

I was wondering if you left that orange tiger on his own.
This is a good list- instigating trouble and eating chocolates. I like the Lk Champlain dk choc. covered honey maple crunch.
Sounds like a very nice (aka, hot) outfit. Have fun!
This weekend’s plans? Christmas pinball. Christmas eve with my parents 30 minutes east of Louisville, Christmas day with The Redhead’s parents 1.5 hours south of Louisville.
Now, New Year’s weekend, we’ll actually be in Atlanta, so leave a little bit of the city standing for us, will ya?
When will you be back, EM? In time for BlogAsheville Bowling Thunder?
My life is SOOOO boring! I’m getting ready for my parents and Granny to visit, making cranberry nut bread and preparing for church.
Will be in Asheville Wed night, though…
Tonight - the usual Friday are the usual bars with the usual people. We’re predictable, and it’s lovely. How I’ll miss this once we’re moved.
Tomorrow - more cleaning, more packing, continued praying about job.
Sunday - wake up, make it to dinner at my parents by 5pm (don’t, don’t ask), continued praying about job.
Monday - Continued praying about job.
Tuesday - hopefully find out about job.
The short blue velevet cocktail dress sounds beautiful. I’ve not dressed up in some time. I hope you have a great time and your Christmas is wonderful.
Greg, Savannah and I are going to chill out at the house and spend Christmas with our neighbors. Everything is going to be really nice and laid back this year! No stress! A lot of drinking will occur!
I always thought Hot Lanta was called that for the heat (and humidity).
Now I find out the other day that it is because of the PARTY SCENE! WTH? I’ve been there 5 or 6 times and always stayed in the hotel by the AC. Now I found out I could have been out gettin my drink on!
We wanted to wish you and your whole family a wonderful and relatively pain-free family Christmas.
I’ve been cooking pretty much non-stop for a week. I’m up to my ample booty in homemade cookies and candies. There is a massive bird brining in the garage and I just finished a fruit and nut laced vegetarian stuffing for my daughter. Tonight we’ll head out for the Christmas service (tell enviro-spouse we’ll miss him)and tomorrow the extended Parker clan will converge on us for the main event.
Enjoy Atlanta and give our regards to the belugas.
Peace, Jim & Frank
Thanks for all the holiday wishes.
It’s Xmas Eve and we’re home! I’m running around playing Santa.
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate the day…
Kisses and peace, EM
