Stand Off

What happened next?

Not what you might think. Houdini, tense with expectation, did not pounce on Mr. Squirrel. Instead, Mr. Squirrel sat up, looked at Houdini and waved his tiny arms. Houdini, the big wuss, jumped backwards and then ran under the porch.

More proof that feistiness, not size, is the better survival aid.

“…feistiness, not size, is the better survival aid.”

I like this line, you need to jot it down for a future book!

Yeah, the insane 100-lb redheaded chick will ALWAYS win against the 300-lb bouncer in the bar.

:) Squirells are scary. We had a rabid one at the park near my old job.

    Fiesty is good.

My Mother’s late second husband had a running battle with squirrels in Charlottesville, VA and it was hilarious. The squirrels came out ahead all the time.

Hey Ben! Where you been, big guy?

Welcome Ashvegas’ Dad. Wow, I feel like I’m practically family.

    Okay, anony, own up?

I have a similar on-going battle with pigeons.

One dive bombed my boss a few weeks ago. He was trying to convince me that I needed to go pigeon hunting with him.

Poop on a uniform will bring an entirely unthought of dimension to the word vindetta.

Yeah, when I threaten people on the phone I always tell ‘em, “I ain’t big, but I am wiry, and you don’t wanna mess with wiry, son.”

Question: If a dog is all bark and no bite, what is a cat?

All meow and no scratch? Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.

Way to capture the moment, EM!

It’s true- Hoss is wiry. I’ve seen it for myself.
I very much like orange guy kitties- they have good attitude and are usually quite grateful to be living with you.

You are lucky! I’ve seen squirrels kill cats and cats kill squirrels. I’ve even seem them mortally wound each other. Domesticated animals and wild or even ferral animals don’t mix.
